Each year nearly 100 of NAEA’s member leaders, including the national board of directors, committee members, and state affiliate presidents from nearly 40 states and regions, convene in Washington, DC to discuss and decide association affairs as they relate to issues facing our profession. At this multi-day event, participants have an opportunity to network soon after tax season and collect helpful news and information to take back to their local memberships.

During the week of May 13 - 17, 2019, the meetings for Fly-In Day, Affiliate Presidents Exchange, and NAEA Board of Directors will be held at Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National AirportFly-In advocacy training will take place on Monday, May 13.

Following the Fly-In Day, high-level events include NAEA’s Affiliate Presidents Exchange Meeting, NAEA's Officers and Directors Installation Dinner, and NAEA Board of Directors Meeting.

The discounted rate for NAEA shows up automatically. To make reservations by phone,. Be sure to mention the 2019 NAEA Leadership Summit. If you need to do so, reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.



Reservation deadline is Monday, April 22, 2019. After the deadline, NAEA group rate or room availability is not guaranteed.


The Hyatt Regency Crystal City at National Airport is approximately one mile from the airport. Cab fare is about $10. It is also located on the Blue/Yellow lines of the Metro, about one-half mile from the Crystal City Metro station. A complimentary shuttle runs from the hotel to the airport and Crystal City Metro. More specific instructions regarding the shuttle may be found here:


Board Meeting
NAEA's Board of Directors will meet on Friday, May 17th beginning at 8:30am at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. All members are invited to attend. The Board of Directors Board Book and Draft meeting minutes for the meeting will be posted prior to the Leadership Summit under the About Us, Governance, Meeting Minutes and Documents section of the NAEA website.


Optional Activities

The NAEA Installation Dinner is on Thursday, May 16th. There will be a reception from 6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The dinner is a ticketed event at $100 per person. Registration information will be provided shortly.
