Basis in an S Corporation 2CE
Session will examine the basis calculations for an S Corporation shareholder. This includes the beginning basis as well as the annual adjustments needed each year. The ordering rules for claiming losses, calculation of gain when there are excess distributions, loan repayments in connection with an S Corporation’s loans from the owners will also be discussed.
