Disaster Loss Updates will provide the latest rules for those working with disaster victims. 2021 saw the worst wildfires in history, hurricanes, tornadoes, severe flooding, drought, and loss of life and property. We will review the basic rules to report a disaster loss, the newest rules passed by Congress, new FEMA regulations affecting tax returns, and how to report the loss on the tax return.
