GR UPDATE Presentation by:   Jared Ballew, Chair, Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee

The Internal Revenue Service’s Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC) released its annual report in June which contains recommendations to Congress and the IRS that focus on electronic tax administration and cybersecurity. Jared Ballew, ETAAC Chair, will discuss the Committees recommendations including: (1) dramatically improving services to help taxpayers meet their obligations and receive the tax incentives for which they are eligible, (2) quickly resolving taxpayer issues when they occur, (3) focusing expanded enforcement on taxpayers with complex tax filings and high-dollar noncompliance to address the tax gap, (4) delivering cutting-edge technology data and analytics to operate more effectively, and (5) attracting and retaining a highly skilled, diverse workforce and develop a culture better equipped to serve taxpayers.
