The 2012 NAEA National Conference will also feature a robust Tax Preparation track where complex tax problems will be explored and an intensive Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) Review track for experienced tax preparers who have decided the time is right to become an EA.
This event includes 6 tracks, each offering 24 hours of education. Participants may also create their own program by picking and choosing individual classes from different tracks. Classes run from 8 am to 4:40 pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. With new classes and nationally recognized speakers, this year's program offers something for everyone.
Conference Plenary Speaker Announced!
Karen L. Hawkins, director of IRS' Office of Professional Responsibility, is presenting the Sunday night opening session. As OPR director, our distinguished speaker is responsible for establishing and enforcing consistent standards of competence, integrity, and conduct for tax professionals covered by Circular 230. Ms. Hawkins earned her MBA-Taxation and JD degrees at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and brings 25 years of private practice experience to her position at IRS.
