Scholarship Information

If you’re thinking of applying for an NAEA scholarship, you’ve come to the right place. The NAEA Scholarship Program is generously funded by member contributions and support from partner organizations such as Paychex, Quickfinder, The Tax Book, and Tenenz.

Scholarships are awarded by the National Association of Enrolled Agents Education Foundation (NAEA-EF). The Education Foundation’s board of trustees is delighted to have this opportunity to award scholarships to both current and aspiring enrolled agents.

This year, the NAEA-EF is awarding scholarships for all tracks of the prestigious National Tax Practice Institute™ 2009 (NTPI09). Applicants may apply to attend any class in any track of the NTPI curriculum (i.e., Basic–Advanced).

To be considered for an NTPI09 scholarship, applications must arrive at the NAEA office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009. For questions about applying for an NTPI scholarship, please contact Margaret Mitchell at mmitchell@naea.org.

The NAEA-EF also awards scholarships for the Special Enrollment Examination (SEE) preparation courses offered through NAEA and its state affiliates. Consideration will be given to applicants who have at least some experience in taxation or accounting.

To be considered for an NAEA or state affiliate SEE preparation scholarship, applications must be received two months prior to the seminar you wish to attend. For questions about a SEE scholarship, please contact Clarise Diggs at cdiggs@naea.org.

When applying for a scholarship—whether for NTPI or the SEE—please read the instructions carefully and return the completed application to NAEA. Upon receipt, the appropriate NAEA staff person will forward your application to the Scholarship Committee for consideration.

Please feel free to copy and pass along the SEE preparation and/or the NTPI scholarship application(s) to others who are interested in becoming tax professionals or enhancing their status as enrolled agents.

One last thing: If you’re interested in making a contribution to NAEA’s scholarship program, please use the NAEA contribution form in the related links box.
