Since 1972, NAEA has been the only professional association dedicated to serving the needs of enrolled agents and representing the profession. Whether you have qualified to join the elite ranks of the only federally-licensed tax practitioners, or simply have that goal in sight, it’s time to step up to membership. Our members are proud of the enrolled agent profession and the work we do together.
Advocacy
NAEA is your voice to government, representing your distinct interests as an enrolled agent and protecting your right to practice. NAEA works closely with the IRS to make sure the IRC is well-administered and fairly enforced. Members testify before the House and Senate on issues pertinent to your practice. On a local level, NAEA partners with state affiliates on state-based legislation and regulatory issues. A significant grassroots force, NAEA has formed a PAC to help elect public officials that share the priorities of enrolled agents.
Public Awareness
NAEA’s other preeminent aim is educating the public on the advantages of hiring an enrolled agent. The NAEA Public Awareness program puts enrolled agents before local and national media to spread the message that EAs are the tax professionals of choice!
Addressing these vital issues exceeds the grasp of any single enrolled agent, but when we band together through NAEA, the sky’s the limit!
