EA Journal CE

The EA Journal offers a low-cost, convenient way for enrolled agents to earn continuing education (CE) credit hours. Each issue contains a test which qualifies for either two or four hours of CE. The CE tests are based on the articles in that particular journal issue. By carefully reading all the articles, enrolled agents will be well-prepared to pass the test. The EA Journals, either by article or by digital version, can be accessed online here.

NAEA now offers bulk purchase of CE hours in groups of 8 or 16 hours, in the form of “CE tokens.” The tokens can be used with the online EA Journal CE tests or CE Webinars, and are non-refundable and non-transferable. CE tokens do not expire, so they’re there when you’re ready to take the test. You can check your balance at any time, or review your balance when you take the online test.

There are three ways to submit the test for grading:

  • The fastest, most convenient way to earn CE is to take the test online. To do so, please register and login to this site and return to this page.
  • Use the test form provided in the journal (as a tear out), providing the information requested on the front, and filling in the appropriate bubbles on the answer sheet on the back. This form should be mailed along with payment to NAEA Journal CE, 1120 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Suite 460, Washington, DC 20036-3953.
  • Use the tests and forms included with the digital version of the magazine. Complete the application, and simply circle the appropriate answer directly on the CE test. Fax the application and test to 202-822-6270 or mail to the address above.

The Journal, which is published bi-monthly, offers feature articles that explain in-depth complicated issues in clear concise terms, insights into the big picture, no-nonsense succinct reporting on the most important developments in Tax Court law and rulings, as well as authoritative updates on the latest initiatives and developments on Capitol Hill and at IRS. In addition, the Journal highlights the activities of NAEA members and leadership, and emphasizes ways enrolled agents can build and market their practices.

The EA Journal is mailed to all members and associates of NAEA and is available through a subscription. NAEA members may also access the magazine through the Publications section of the NAEA website.

Please contact the NAEA office at 202-822-6232 or info@naea.org with questions.
